The
WGPP can be used in many applications that are too dirty for a shell
and tube, but not up to the requirements of needing a spiral heat
exchanger. The WGPP can also be made in larger surface, and can
handle higher
flows than that of any one Spiral; the WGPP can be fabricated with
up to 10,000 sqft of heat transfer area in a single unit. These
heat exchangers are formed from an array of pressure plates, (two
plates that have multiple attachment points between them to create
a vessel capable of withstanding pressure), inserted into a box
structure. The wide gap, (up to 1.25") allows solids carrying
fluids, and are completely assessable for mechanical cleaning and
inspection. The inspection & cleanout plates can be removed
without disconnecting any piping.
